Josh Kempen is a truly talented South African singer-songwriter whose stripped back acoustic and electric performances have an ease of presence, while captivating audiences with his simple stories and graveled voice. Previously nominated as “Song Writer of the Year” by SAMRO, Josh has been touring the SA festival circuit and recently rocked out on the Oppikoppi stage. To top it off, CPT based Thor Rixon recognized his natural talent and recently produced Josh’s latest EP, a nostalgic 1950’s style throwback, interlaced with mid-tempo tales of love and travel, which earned him a place on Openrooms top 5 SA acts.
