Musician of Classical
Jovan Jovičić (Јован Јовичић) is a Serbian physicist and musician. He was born in Vrdnik in 1926. He studied the classical guitar for four years at the Sienna Accademia Chigiana in the class of Andrés Segovia. He also made his PhD in Physics at the Belgrade University in 1964. He starts giving guitar concerts at "Radio Dubrovnik" and "Radio Belgrad" already in 1948, since they were the 1st to indroduce radio-productions for solo instruments in former Yugoslavia. He interpreted guitar music of as well classical and modern authors. Jovičić took part at numerous national and international contests and festivals, either as musician or member of the jury. He gave over 2200 concerts during his carreer.
