A.k.a. Juan Díaz del Moral

Mexican composer and writer. He was born on May 16, 1893, in Tacubaya, D.F. He died on August 16, 1944, in Mexico City. As an author, his first work was the lyrics of "La Sandunga", which he wrote in 1920. Before he started writing for theater, he was a pianist for silent films. He also worked as a show journalist. In his activity for theater, he specialized in writing works for comedians such as Roberto Soto, Manuel Medel, Wilhemy, Cantinflas, Don Catarino, etc., almost all of his time. He was very serious, both personally and in dress. He liked to listen to music, all that was in his time. His work with which he obtained the greatest satisfactions was "Allá En El Rancho Grande", which was written for a play, with music by Emilio D. Uranga.
