A.k.a. Juan Acereto Manzanilla

On October 29, 1930 was born in the White City of Mérida, the Yucatan Juan Acereto Manzanilla, one of the most beautiful and fresh voices that the land of the Mayab has given. Son of the marriage formed by Don Crescencio Acereto Cortés and Doña Angelina Manzanilla Lizama, Juan soon showed signs of an innate talent for composition, becoming one of the most prolific and inspired composers of the State of Yucatan. He died in the city of Mérida, Yucatán at the age of 60 on October 26, 1991
