A.k.a. Hyeyung Julie Yoon
Hyeyung Julie Yoon is an American violinist, a second violin in Chiara String Quartet with her husband, cellist Greg Beaver, and a research associate professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She studied at the Juilliard School with Sally Thomas and the members of Juilliard String Quartet, graduating with a BMus degree. Yoon had previously taught at Harvard University through the Blodgett String Quartet Residency, Juilliard School, Greenwood Music Camp, and the Chamber Music Institute at the University of Nebraska. Julie plays Nicolò Gagliano violin (c. 1760). Some of Yoon's notable solo performances include Beethoven's Triple Concerto with Gregory Beaver (cello), Stewart Goodyear (piano), and the Greater Grand Forks Symphony, or Violin Concerto by Sibelius with the University of Nebraska Symphony Orchestra. She also appeared with The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and Mannes Orchestra. Together with Soyeon Kate Lee, Julie Yoon performed Pange Lingua Sonata for Violin and Piano by Robert Sirota, specifically wrote for them – a recording made by Judith Sherman at the American Academy Of Arts And Letters was released by Albany Records in 2015.
