Japanese music promoter and manager. In the 1990s he promoted tours of Japan by free improv musicians including AMM, Lol Coxhill, Barre Phillips, Han Bennink, Peter Brötzmann, Keith Tippett, John Fahey, Christian Marclay, Tony Conrad, Arthur Doyle, Charles Gayle, Dagmar Krause, Slapp Happy and Lee Konitz. Tanaka also managed Keiji Haino at one stage, as well as running a label called Eyewill.
