A.k.a. June Pepin
June Clark (Pepin) studied at the Royal Academy of Music and worked as a composer with Alan Bush, with her first works published while still a student. As a pianist she studied with Cyril Smith, making her debut as a duo pianist with Joan Ryall during the 1958 Wagner Festival in Bayreuth. An international piano career followed with the BBC, and with appearances at major festivals. In 1967 the duo won First Prize in the International Competition for Interpreters of Contemporary Music in Utrecht. June accompanies Nick on all three CDs, where she also plays a selection of piano solos. To date her published works number 35 and centre on choral and piano composition and arrangements for voices, several of which feature on the three CDs.
