Single 2018 on Carlsbeat label
Dance (Eurobeat)
"Feel The Music" came about from a love of the funky disco sounds of the late 70s and early 80s, when the star of the show was the hook-heavy bass grooves that ran through every single composition. Around the time of the late 160-170 Super Eurobeat releases, SCP Music really championed a style of Eurobeat that was slightly slower in BPM, with this same funky disco-style bassline and a strong focus on ascending and descending chord progressions - some of the best examples being "Switch!" by Melissa White & Ace, "One Touch" by Ace & La Gatta and "Wanna Be With You" by Melissa White. The original demo for the track (posted to YouTube almost 10 years ago) was exhuberant and brash, and it certainly made a statement but first and foremost, the aim was for "Feel The Music" to be an anthemic celebration of clublife and that unbridled joy that you feel when a beat and melody seeps into your body forcing you to move. There's no deep or hidden meanings behind it other than being a fun dance song that should grab your feet and make them wanna dance all night long!
