(Porto Alegre, January 26, 1968 - December 21, 2015) Flávio Basso (also known as Júpiter Maçã and Jupiter Apple) was a Brazilian singer, songwriter and filmmaker. A fundamental reference of the gaucho (from the southern State) rock, he was the founder of the bands TNT (35) and Os Cascavelletes, which influenced a whole new generation of gaucho bands from the 90's onwards. In solo career, was recognized with one of the icons of Brazilian psychedelia, bringing a new degree of experimentalism to national rock, with the album "Sétima Efervescência" (Seventh Effervescence), elected by Rolling Stone Brazil magazine one of the 100 best albums of Brazilian music.
