Kasey “K.C. Redd” Segue, a Take Fo' Records artist from the late 90’s. K.C. collaborated with label mates DJ Jubilee, Junie Bezel, Katey Red and others on her 1999 album “It’s A G Thang.” Her song “Hot Girlz on Fire” is one of several New Orleans bounce songs to use the melody from “Iko Iko”/”Jock-A-Mo,” the classic New Orleans R&B variation on a Mardi Gras Indian chant. K.C. Redd was shot and killed in 2006.
