Kadath was formed in autumn of 2000. In 2002, they recorded a demo "Возрождение" and then first self-released album "Правду скрыла тьма веков..." later in 2004 (some tracks from the demo has appeared on 2014's reissue of first album with the same name). Lyrics subjects are ranged from pagan philosophy to themes of war and Lovecraftian mythology. The core of the band permanently consists from two members: Demetrius (guitars, bass, programming, sound-engineering, etc) and Virga (keyboards, arranging, etc).
