Norwegian folk and pop musician, born May 14. 1974 in Oslo. Norway. From first attracting the general public's attention with her album Egentlig Kunstner, getting airtime on national radio, she achieved some commercial success with the follow-up Mellom Oss. Her satirical lyrics, especially prominent in her early works, were not guided by a clear political or idealogical stance, but struck out in many direction, resulting in a rather confused reception by the Norwegian folk scene. Her warm and flirtish live performances and unorthodox clothing and vocal style won hearts across the country during her extensive tours. In addition to her solo work, assisted by her guitarist Frode Berntzen, she was a member of the musical project Jenter fra Jante.
