Dance, Electronic, Rock and Pop
A.k.a. Ian
Kamido:Tu is multimedia artist Ian’s project. With his music we travel through sensitive and cosmopolitan landscapes where electro, rock and pop music meet and merge. Ian also realizes artworks and video projections - setting Kamido:Tu in a universe of refined graphic lines. His accomplished album called « L’envol » (2005) was noticed as far as Italy. His success was confirmed on the Internet and his MySpace page on which his new tracks on display were warmly and widely welcomed. Through that community site, English band Lautrec and Severin24 (from Lyons – France) got in touch with Ian and asked him to remix their tracks in 2006. He also went on a series of live performances and DJ sets in Paris and his hometown Rennes (France). His lively and dynamic mixing sets - where electro, breaks and rocktronika mix with veiled references to oldies – are also part of his own universe. In 2007 singers Aï Maeda (Novo Navis – a Franco-Japanese band), Cathy Kompton (Panda Transport-US) and Hunz (Australia) offered to write lyrics and sing on his « Vast » EP. The work of Producer Thierry Holweck (aka Severin24, Panda Transport) was the deciding factor for a rock and organic sound approach. French photographer Jérôme Sevrette, who worked for And Also The Trees and other bands, was invited to shoot his promotional pictures.
