Graduated from the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal and McGill University, Karine Lalonde completed her BA in classical music performance with the distinction “Outstanding Achievement in viola”. In 2005, she joined the Quatuor Orphée as a violist. With this quartet, she is involved in several live performances and festivals (Montreal Jazz Festival, Festival d’été de Québec), corporate events and recording sessions (Elisapie Isaac, Antoine Gratton). In 2010, Quatuor Orphée had the opportunity to play with Maxime Landry, male performer of the year, at the Théâtre St-Denis. In 2006, Karine Lalonde participated to Mario Pelchat’s Christmas concert. In addition, in 2007-2008, she accompanied Cornelius at the Bell Center, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Mika (8), and Barry Manilow. Alongside music, Karine Lalonde developed a passion for management. She also graduated from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales, in Montreal, in management of cultural organizations. She is now completing her MBA at the University of Sherbrooke.
