Now 22, Karl Gunton as a producer has been tinkering around making music since about the age of about 13 and has always had an interest in dance music, mainly uplifting trance, but has always thought theres no point limiting yourself so has he made lots of other bits n peices (karlgunton.com is his showcase) Karl has won a competition with 12" thumpers which got a remix of Champion Sound released on vinyl, and has been approached for various remixes and productions. His main interest has always been uplifting trance, Karl first got his tracks danced to in a club in Weston-super-Mare, at a club named then Voltz - with the first remix of Eminem - Stan, which was made purely to play out in sets along with samples to make a unique memorable set for anyone who came down. In about 2001 i was time-expanding old hardcore tracks like Shooting Star to play in trance sets for a unique effect. This was way before the pop-dance remix-messes of tracks that have now appeared. Among other popular (unsigned) remixes KarlG has done were original, first remixes of Brainbug & Rock The Funky Beat, which a record label were interested in about a month before the Public Domain flop came out. If you dont hear a KarlG track, some samples or acapellas in one of his sets, it must be because theres no cd player available or working ;) Karl can get a crowd going with a choice of funky, uplifting & bouncy trance & house tracks + cheeky acapellas and FX (fx provided by the DJM series of mixers if available!) and is sure to provide a memorable set for any clubbers.
