Austrian violinist, born in 1928 in Rheinland. He studied in Paris. After a spell as concert master of the Mannheim National Theatre, he took up the position of concertmaster of the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra in 1955. In the same year he joined the Mozarteum Quartet as first violin.
