Recorded and mixed in 1995 at Christian Laborde's studio. Co-produced for Alba Musica by CARMA Productions and UVPCA. From the inner sleeve: n 1975, Karlheinz Stockhausen (b. 1928) composed Tierkreis (Zodiac), twelve tunes for a music box, one for each of the star signs and the twelve semi-tones of the scale. He later went on to score several different arrangements [...] In 1994, thrilled by the evocative power and the richness of this work, we set off on the musical adventure of working on the original 1975 score to produce our own version of Tierkreis: Improvisations Autour Du Zodiaque (Improvisations On The Zodiac). Our work is not merely a reinterpretation of Stockhausen original, from our visit to each of the constellations, we have brought back variations and improvisations that enhance the character and colour of each astrological sign [...]
