Karviaiset was a choir of about 40 children aged from 5 to 15. It was started in Vantaa, Finland in 1973 and lead by Arto and Pirkko Simola. Composer Marjatta Meritähti joined them soon after their start and composed most of their music. Karviaiset released children's music in the 1970s and 1980s. The choir was disbanded in the mid 1990s.
