Kathleen Livingstone studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and the Royal College of Music (where she won all the major singing prizes), and later with Pierre Bernac. She has appeared at the Aldeburgh Festival and on the London South Bank as soloist in works by Britten, under the direction of Sir Peter Pears. Her repertoire is wide, ranging from Bach to works of the Twentieth Century. She has broadcast for many radio stations abroad, as well as the BBC.
