Kattong was a German folk-trio with political lyrics from the early 1970s. They were born out of the duo of Baier & Kuchlenbruch (on whose LP Golbach had guested as well). Guests on the Kattong-LP were Claus Lamdauer (guitars), Thomas Altrogge (violin), Hans-Josef Stick (organ), Horst Luedtke (guitars), Detlef Krause and Martin Napiersky (drums). Baier later teamed up with Walter Westrupp and did a solo-LP as well as playing in Die Walter H. C. Meier Pumpe.
