Kay Suzuki grew up in Japan and Singapore, surrounded by his family’s love for music. Since he moved to London in 2004, he has been heavily involved its diverse club scenes and has had a debut release on the BBC’s award winning party/label CO-OP in 2007. Whilst releasing remixes, re-edits and original production on several labels in Europe, United States and Japan, he also launched his own label Round In Motion in 2010, and subsequently released his first album, Consciousness. The label has been releasing 12" vinyl from Soundspecies, Afrobuddha and Leonidas, and received support from many established DJs, producers and musicians such as David Mancuso, Gilles Peterson, Francois Kevorkian, Theo Parrish, Laurent Garnier, Osunlade, Pepe Bradock, Nick The Record and Manuel Gottsching to name a few. Just this year (2014), Round In Motion’s catalogue was also archived in The British Library, in London. As a DJ, Kay has been invited to numerous cities in Europe and Asia, and has toured extensively in his home country of Japan.
