Kebi Dhindsa, formed his band 'KB & The Gang', in the mid-nineties when he released his debut album 'Open Your Mind'. He created his own unique genre termed the `desi bhangra', and brought rebirth of traditional desi funk across the seas. A track from his debut album 'Open Your Mind' had received nominations to the Birmingham Asian Song and Dance Awards and won the Best New Band title.
