Singer of Reggae
Keith Cole was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He grew up listening to Reggae, and at age 17 recorded his first single, ‘Musical Attack’. As a teen, he hung around with Gregory Isaacs, Bob Marley, Jacob Miller, and their bands. He sang backup vocal at times in Tuff Gong Studio. Immigrated to America at the age of 19, Lived in Brooklyn for several years, during which time he recorded other singles:” ‘Where Have You Been So Long?’, ‘How Do You Feel?’ and ‘Honeybee Fantasy’. Moved to Glen Cove in the late 1980’s, started the band “Island Sound”. They played all over Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan for the next 20 years. During this time, Keith recorded other singles: ‘Rock With Me’, ‘Moving Violation’ and did a remix of ‘Honeybee Fantasy’ at Cove City Sound Studio in Glen Cove.
