Born on the 8th August 1940 in in Mildura, Victoria, the family moving to Lockington in 1948. Keithe began singing solo at school concerts in 1950 and in 1953 won the first talent contest he entered at Barooga, NSW. From then on he appeared regularly on concerts and talent quests. In 1956 he met Neville Pellitt at 3SR Radio Station, Shepparton and from then appeared regularly on the Harmony Trail Concerts until the ceased in the early 60’s. In 1978 he semi-retired from singing and was inducted into into the Australian Country Music Hands of Fame in 1979.
