The Keith n Ryan Experiment (KRX) is a sophomoric comedy folk duo, based in Tampa, Florida. Originally formed in Feb 2003, by Keith Suchland and Ryan Michalski mainly to act as a "Host Band" at various "Open Jams" and "Open Mics". Equally influenced by the Smothers Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, Tenacious D and Weezer they played mainly covers and parody songs (similar to Weird Al but "ruder") but did manage to play a couple originals, now and then. KRX inspired Keith to form Eviscerated Zombie Tampon (with Scott Valentino), and following EZT's live debut (during which Ryan performed) the duo went dormant until a chance encounter, in August 2014 (the 11th anniversary of their final show) . Both Ryan and Keith were at the Pegasus Lounge, which served as the final hosting location for the duo and ran into each other. As it was open mic, the two of them ended up performing 4-5 songs and discussing the possibility of future collaborations /or performances. Though the duo never released any studio releases, a couple clips from their final live show have recently surfaced.
