A.k.a. Jerrel Lloyd Kemperveen Jerrely Slijger
Dutch rapper who has his roots in Curaçao, Dutch Antilles. He grew up in the middle of seven children. At home, with his 4 brothers, two sisters and his mother, he soon learned that there were more mouths to feed than spoons. With this background Kempi’s life was a struggle from the beginning. This struggle brings crime along and Kempi got arrested more than once. Besides hanging in the streets, hustling, working for money, Kempi spends his time rapping about his life. His influences are 2Pac, Lil Wayne and DuvelDuvel. After a show with his crew Drama he realizes that this hobby can get him out of this life. He starts recordings songs and puts them on the internet. The response he gets is massive. Suddenly this unknown hustler turns in a big rapper from Brabant Zuid-Oost. Kempi’s carrier as a rapper starts when he puts a mixtape together with DJ One-2.
