The Munich Thrash-, Doom-Metal band Kemwer was founded 2011 by Richard Vukorep (ex-Taste Bitter Ashes) and Florian Fink (ex-Taste Bitter Ashes and now Raidshelter member)). Martin Alexy (ex-Devestator (2), and ex-ColdRush) joined the band a little later. Than (also ex-Devestator (2), and ex-ColdRush) vocalist Sebastian Müller (2) came to Kemwer. In May 2012 bassplayer Sandor Beer (ex-Involuntary Carnage, and now Raidshelter singer and ex-SLOD bass player) completed the Band. After the retire of Florian Fink, Ruben Strenzke (ex-Raidshelter, ex-Stormhammer and ex-As Stormclouds Gather) playing the drums since March 2013. After Martin Alexy, also Sandor Beer and Ruben Strenzke left the band in spring 2014.
