October 22, 2000 is part of a series of pieces from 2000-2001, based on field recordings from different neighborhoods of New York City. Each piece was constructed entirely from the sounds of the city itself - wandering through a selected area wearing a concealed microphone, continually recording into a crude cassette recorder; these recordings were then chopped up, fed into a sampler, and used as raw material for sound design. October 22, 2000 is composed of sounds recorded in Inwood, the northernmost neighborhood in Manhattan. There is no cover available for this release, only some information which can be used as an info-sheet.
