Kent Kennan (born 1913, Milwaukee, Wisconsin - died 2003, Austin, Texas) was an American classical composer en writer on music. He was awarded the "Prix de Rome" at the age of 23. His theoretical works Counterpoint (1987) and The Technique of Orchestration (1952) have been widely used as classroom texts.
