American jazz and blues drummer, pianist and festival producer from New Orleans, Louisiana. Started his career in the early 1970s. He has played with such jazz artists as Thomas Jefferson (2), Teddy Riley (2) and Danny Barker, and blues artists such as B.B. King, Freddie King, Champion Jack Dupree and Buddy Guy. He occasionally plays drums with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
