Band,
Arranger / Conductor of Dance
A.k.a. Richard Hewson
Alias used by Stockton-On-Tees arranger, conductor and multi-instrumentalist Richard Anthony Hewson. A long established figure in the British music industry, he’d previously recorded as the Rah Band and Richard Hewson Orchestra. The most famous of these is probably The Rah Band, who were, in effect, a one man band, although vocals were added to some of their later material. The Band scored a top 10 hit with their first release, ‘The Crunch’, which went as high as number 6 in the UK.
