A.k.a. Elegance (7) Le Spectre (2)
In the summer of 1982, French pop/funk group Elegance had a massive hit in France with " Vacances J' oublie Tout". The song, one of the first French raps to meet with success, was a huge with exstensive play on radio and in any nightclub. In 1983, the brains behind the song decided to conquer a more global market by releasing an English version. Recorded at Criteria Recording Studios, Miami, engineered by "Great" Dennis Hetzendorfer, for Gilbert Di Nino and Michel Salvati of Barclay & EMI Publishing, they employed Alain Salvati, an in house session muscian, to come up with the English Rap Lyrics. The song was released under the name/alias KEY WEST with the new title of "Wanna Groove".
