Ki wa

Producer of Electronic
A.k.a. Jaanus Kivaste

Kiwanoid (as visual artist or writer also KIWA, Kiwa, Ki wa, Ki:wa) is an estonian multichannel artist also active as music producer and sound-artist. He started experimenting with with sound in the late 80s, was involved some of the fastest punk-bands in the 90s (most notably Nyrok City) and moved to the electronic sound around 2000. He has been organizing the noise/sound-art platfom "metabor" and founded The Festival of Non-Existent Bands which later became the Robodada label with his partner SS Fabrique. Beside hyper-optimistic robo-punk moniker Kiwanoid, he also plays improvisational solo lives, that stream from idealistic glitchy soundscapes to psycho-noise. He also mixes his sound-based projects with elements of performance, visuals, text, lecture, presentation, installation, site-specifity etc.
