Kika was born on May 5th, 1997, in Porto, Portugal. Encouraged by her teachers, Kika would come to record an album consisting of 11 songs, composed by Dan McAlister, born in England, but living in Portugal for several years. The album “Alive” was edited in Portugal by Universal, in march 2013. Two of the songs were produced by RedOne, who went on to mention Kika on twitter ss a “future star”. Kika recorded a bilingual duet ("Love Life") with french singer John Mamann, composed by RedOne, which was only released in France. Afterwards, she released a cover of Jackson 5's "I Want you back", which was used in the summer campaign of TMN. She also recorded another single, Can’t Feel love tonight, co-written and produced by RedOne. The acoustic version of this song was used in the background of the commercial advertisements of EDP. There’s also a dance version, featuring Andreas Wijk. Kika Is the youngest artist ever to perform on the main stage of MEO Sudoeste.
