Singer / Musician of Alternative
The Kimota Bombs are an American punk rock band formed in Tampa, Florida in 2017 by singer/guitarist Martin Dunn. The band is completed by Vocalist Aly Kat, bassist Dirt T. Manning, and drummer Brie Tart. In February of 2017, Dunn recruited original bassist Brendan Mulvaney and drummer Justin Ahlefeld, along with then second guitarist and songwriting collaborator Dirt T. Manning. Aly Kat, (who is married to Dunn) was added shortly after. Dunn has stated that he started the band as therapy for the loss of his close friend Josh Fonner. Mulvaney was replaced shortly after by Manning as Mulvaney exited the band due to lack of time. Ahlefeld played the majority of the drums on the band’s first EP, “Nuclear Family” but was unable to commit to a full-time schedule, and this led to Brie Tart (Manning’s wife) to join the band as full-time drummer. With Tart joining on this would complete the band’s official line-up to perform live for the first time.
