Singer / Musician

Kings Crossing is a Dutch Rock band consisting of Daan Hooghiemstra (Vocals, Guitar, Keys), Sander van Rhijn (Bass) and Dirk de Vries (Guitar). Their drummer Veron 't Hart left the band in February 2013. Most of their songs were written by or in collaboration with Mark de Vries. Kings Crossing was launched in April 2010 with the release of their first EP 'Culture Club'. This EP was well-recieved by the Dutch rockpress. A series of live preformances followed, including the closing act on Westerpop. At this occasion Kings Crossing won the prestegious Peter Tetteroo Beaker. After the success of the EP 'Culture Club' Kings Crossing released their first single 'I Am An Idiot' in February 2011. This single clarifies what the band is all about: meldious and catchy rock where the song is most important. Kings Crossing is currently recording their debut album at their own studio.
