Kinteto Pacifico was born In 2008. Esteban Copete decides to conform this quintet with the purpose of obtaining an autochthonous sound whilst having a contemporary air and musical integrity between african rhythms, using traditional colombian instruments as marimba de chonta, bombo, cununos, redoblante, platillos de latón and guasá. To this format he added the electroacustic base, guitar and soprano sax as an armonic and melodic complement.
