Klapa "Torkul" was founded in 2003 as a workshop result of the Zagreb University Student Center. The Klapa ensemble was 1st lead by Ivan Satalić. The Klapa gathers students from different parts of Croatia, but studying at the Zagreb University. A "Torkul" is an ancient squashing mashine for squashing grapes and olives. It is also the Croatian dialectical word (verb) for describing the procedure of wine and olive oil production.
