The original Klapa Cambi was founded in 1986 under the name KUD “Cambi” (KUD - Cultur and Art Union - popular working people clubs during the communist time in former Yugoslavia). The name of the choir originates from the noble local Cambi family. Meanwhile there are 2 different Klapa Cambi, since the original ensamble split into two separate choires in 2007, note Klapa Cambi. They still carry the same name, although situated in different towns. The case ist still running in court.
