Band, *1999
Rock
Goth/wave rock band from Rome, Italy. Born from the ashes of Another Day, a death/doom metal ensemble led by the Soellner brothers, Klimt 1918 deals with a totally different kind of music, deeply influenced by the new-wave sound of the Eighties (Marco Soellner cites as his major influences artists like Bauhaus, the Cure, Joy Division, Tears For Fears, and more). These elements, combined with the dark emotional mood of such bands as Anathema, Katatonia and Novembre, create the peculiar sound of Klimt 1918. Lineup: Marco Soellner - vocals, guitar Alessandro Pace - guitar Davide Pesola - bass Paolo Soellner - drums Formed 1999
