Kneejerk were a London-based emo/hardcore band who released three records, before breaking up in November 2001. Starting out in late 1998 with the quest to create music which both moved and satisfied them, they self-released their first CD "Helpless I Cry" with 11 songs in 1999. In July the same year they completed their first UK tour with Abjure, leading to a split CD with them for Skipworth Records, released 17th January 2000. They continued gigging constantly and toured the UK sharing stages with bands such as Botch, Abjure, Cameran, Redlightsflash, Scalplock, Engage, and Knuckledust. In September 2000 they recorded their first full length, "The Half-life of Kissing," with Dave Chang at Backstage Studios (Stampin' Ground, Knuckledust, Canvas) which was released via Sakari Empire in early 2001. However, before the album was released the band called it a day on the 11th of November 2000. Frank and Ben went on to form the critically acclaimed Million Dead, and Frank is now a successful solo act.
