Conductor of Classical
Knud Vad (born 1936) is a Danish organist and conductor. Vad was educated at the Royal. Danish Academy of Music and at Anton Heiller in Vienna in 1964. He was to 1964 from 2006 employed as organist at Soro Abbey Church and established in 1970 Sorø International Music Festival. Vad began in 1975 to play the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, which henceforth became a tradition every five years. For his work to the musical life of Soro district, he received in 1996 Egholtprisen.
