Just a few minutes from the Moldavian border, in the southeast of Podolia, lies the village Zagnitkiv, home of the Baranovsky family. The brothers Baranovsky and their cousins build the core of Konsonans Retro, a traditional Ukrainian brass band. They play an earthy and nostalgic mixture of Moldovan, Ukrainian and unique Jewish music from the family repertoire.
