A.k.a. Kontravirtanen
A Finnish rock band from the 1970s. Kontra was founded in the autumn 1976 when rock band Virtanen split up after their leader Veltto Virtanen headed for a solo career. Kontra was first called Kontravirtanen but soon they shortened their name to Kontra. Kontra played mostly Finnish adaptations of 1960s rock'n'roll hits and scored their biggest hit with "Jerry Cotton", a Finnish adaptation of The Kinks' "Jack The Idiot Dunce".
