Growing up in Pennsylvania and residing on Kauai for the past six years, Korie has had the constant hum of nature to inspire her songwriting. Being a "closet musician" most of her life, music was simply a therapeutic and creative outlet. However, when her Demos got into the hands of a recording studio in Nashville, Tennessee, she was given the opportunity to professionally record what has come to... Influenced by the storytellers of Appalachia and the ballads of Ireland, Korie writes songs that are raw and intimate, revealing her experiences through lilting lullabies and simple finger picked guitar compositions. Though currently Portland based, Korie has traveled throughout most of her life, gathering trial, wisdom, and imagery to inspire her lyrical memoirs.
