Hugo Blanco (Caracas, 25 September 1940 - 14 June 2015) was a Venezuelan musician and composer. He is particularly known as the author of "Moliendo cafè" and other songs such as "El Burrito de Belén" (also known as "El Burrito Sabanero"), "Leche Condensada", "Luces de Caracas", "Sierra Nevada", "Mañanita Zuliana "and others. "Moliendo Café", composed in 1958 when Hugo Blanco was 18, became one of the best known Venezuelan songs in the world.
