Проект Koto, одна из главных итало-диско-легенд 80-х, до настоящего момента имел в своей дискографии одно «белое пятно», которое закрывает российское издательство «Мирумир». Koto стали популярными в начале 80-х годов и выпустили несколько суперуспешных синглов на собственном лейбле Memory Records (где, к слову вышли и пластинки Baby's Gang, Кена Лазло и других популярных исполнителей итало-диско). Однако дела в компании шли плохо, поэтому весь каталог (вместе с брендом Koto) был продан немецкой компании Бернхарда Микульского. Из-за этого дебютный полноформатный альбом «Masterpieces», равно как и последующие, под маркой Koto делал участник проекта Laserdance Мишиль ван дер Кюи. Все ранние хиты на «Masterpieces» были представлены в виде ремиксов и римейков, а оригиналы композиций так и остались разбросанными по труднодоступным синглам и сборникам The Best Of Italo Disco.
