Kriminul hails from the home of hip-hop New York city's South Bronx. Like many New Yorkers he has Jamaican heritage and the intonation of his complex rap style certainly pays homage to the dancehall DJ. Intelligent lyrics combined with rich-voiced, lounge lizard delivery mark his unmistakable style. Krim's first outing on wax Beyond Real was recorded with his partner DJ Spinna who has caused quite a storm with his DJ appearances and production style - The Jigmastas, as they are collectively known have subsequently produced a steady flow of hip-hop gems.
