Kristian Baarsvik is a saxophonist with the Band of Mid-America where he performs with the Shades of Blue Jazz Ensemble and Concert Band. He also plays flute and clarinet. Sergeant Baarsvik holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Studio Music and Jazz from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. His teachers include Gary Keller, Whit Sidener, Hal Crook, Paul Demarinis, Debra Richtmeyer and Adrianne Honnold. Prior to enlisting, Sergeant Baarsvik performed music aboard cruise ships throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
