Composer / Producer of Jazz, World and Folk
Danish composer, musician, and record producer, born 31 March 1947 in Fredericia. Graduated in Music and French from the University of Aarhus before moving to the the Faroe Islands in 1974. Together with Magnus Pauli Poulsen he founded the folk ensemble Spælimenninir Í Hoydølum (later Spælimenninir) and played an important role in Havnar Jazzfelag. He is also the founder of the Nordic music ensemble Yggdrasil (8) as well as the Tutl record label for which he is the CEO. Married to Sharon Weiss since 1977 and the father of Mikael Blak.
